Hi there, I'm Alexandre!

I'm an engineer driven by curiosity, passionate about exploring new technologies, hands-on learning, and tackling challenges across frontend, backend, cloud computing, and infrastructure automation.

This blog is a space to share insights from my professional journey, practical guides, and stories about how I approach challenges in software development.

What I'm strongest at

  • Frontend architecture

Micro-frontends, monorepos, and shared code and tooling across web and native. From complex legacy applications to greenfield platforms.

  • Backend & data

Django and Node.js services with GraphQL/REST, event-driven pipelines with worker pools and message queues, and query and SQL optimization on PostgreSQL.

  • Cloud & DevOps

Azure, GCP and AWS with Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes. Infrastructure as code for automated, replicable and secure environments, backed by reliable CI/CD.

  • Leadership & OSS

Leads a company-wide frontend guild: mentoring engineers, running workshops, and steering technical direction. Creator and maintainer of an open-source NPM package suite used across projects.

My journey

  1. SmarttBot

    Software Engineer

Micro-frontends and a framework-agnostic design system for a trading platform serving 2,000+ active traders, with reach into a 15M-user banking app.

    2020–21
  2. 2021

    GovPredict

    Software Engineer

React and Rails/Elasticsearch features for a legislative-tracking SaaS, later acquired by Quorum.

  3. The SilverLogic

    Full-Stack Engineer

Migrated a franchise platform to a micro-frontend monorepo supporting 20+ stores and 30,000+ users; cut CI/CD from 25 to 4 minutes.

    2021–23
  4. 2023–now

    The SilverLogic

    Senior Software Engineer

Architected an event-driven pipeline ingesting 10k+ events/day. Tech lead for a 5–8 engineer team: architecture decisions alongside PO and client, unblocking devs while staying hands-on. Lead the company-wide frontend guild (40+ engineers) for mentoring and knowledge sharing.
